📖 Parental guide: This story is Inspired by the narration from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his noble family), انما بعثت لاتمم مکارم الاخلاق (meaning ‘I was only sent to perfect noble character’). Through the adventures of a young boy named Hasan, this tale beautifully illustrates the importance of good character, and offers a wonderful opportunity for parents to discuss with their children how everyday actions can reflect profound moral values, fostering a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings in a relatable and engaging manner.

In the heart of a green town, where palm trees whispered ancient tales and the stars shimmered like a celestial map, lived a young boy named Hasan. Hasan was known for his boundless curiosity and his kind heart. One clear night, as the town settled into a tranquil silence, Ihsan’s grandfather, a wise and knowledgeable man , called him over.
“Hasan,” his grandfather began, his voice as soft as the desert wind, “tonight is a very special night. It marks the Mab'ath, the night our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) received his mission from God.”
Hasan’s eyes sparkled with interest. “What was his mission, Grandfather?” he asked, eager to learn.
“His mission, my child, was to perfect good character, to spread kindness, honesty, compassion, and justice,” his grandfather explained, opening an ancient book filled with stories of the Prophet's life. “Tonight, I will share with you how you can carry on his legacy.”
As the night unfolded, Hasan’s grandfather told him stories of the Prophet’s kindness, how he would always speak gently, listen carefully, and help others without expecting anything in return, and treat people with respect and dignity. “The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) taught us that true strength lies in the quality of our character,” he said.
Moved by the stories, Hasan asked, “How can I, just a boy, follow in the footsteps of the Prophet and perfect my character?”
“By living his teachings every day.” his grandfather replied, a gentle smile on his face.
The following day, Hasan set out with a new purpose. He spoke kindly to his friends, and even stood up for a playmate who was being treated unfairly. With each act of kindness, Hasan felt a warmth in his heart, like a guiding light.
One evening, Hasan told his friends “Just as we nurture these plants in the school garden with love and care, we must also nurture our character and the community around us”
People began to notice, how acts of kindness were weaving a stronger, more loving community, all sparked by a young boy’s desire to live by the Prophet’s mission.
Years later, under the same starry sky where his journey began, Hasan sat beside his grandfather. “Grandfather, I think I understand now. The Prophet’s mission was about more than just words; it was about action, about living with good character every day.”
His grandfather nodded, pride shining in his eyes. “Yes, Hasan. And tonight, as we remember the Mab'ath, you have shown that the light of good character can illuminate the darkest nights, guiding us all towards a path of wisdom and compassion.”
